time for a new barrel

This week I will hand my F-Open rifle over to my gunsmith to install a new barrel. The barrel will finish at 31" and is a straight 1.25" and will be chambered in .284 Shehane>>> 1-9 twist.

When I ordered a new brux 7mm they said the most popular barrel the make is a 32" 1.25" straight 1-9" twist. That's what I'd get.

+1 Most folks shoot this combination, including me in .284 Shehane. [br]
Don Nagel had one that he set back about eight times but finally quit when it was about 16-18" and scorching his front rest. ;)
