Time for a 6.5 page?

You have a 6.5-284 Norma page, a 6mm br page, a 7mm page but no page to cover the other 6.5s. One page can cover the 260, 6.5x55,Grendel, 6.5x 47 and maybe one or two others. I would think there would at least be a 260 rem page since it is used a lot in competition.

Mr. Moderator/Forum Director,
How can we help you getting this page, with all the expert info out there, up and running? If you wish, you can send me a pm and let me know how I can help. There is alot of info out there and alot of shooters that want it. Let me know.

In fact if anything there is a general move away from the 6.5*284 over here and either to a 7mm or other better barrel life 6.5's. e.g. 6.5*55 Swede, 6.5 Rogue, 260, 260 improved, 6.5 Creedmore, 6.5*47. I see more of each of these at the ranges over here now than I do 6.5*284's. Cost of barrels and brass being the issues.

Well I have been told that the 6.5-284 is a barrel burner, but not 6.5x47, Creedmore, 260, 260AI or the Grendal. Everything I have heard about the later is good as far as barrel life goes. Lets get a good 6.5 page going.

I want to ditto for a 6.5 page as well.I shoot the 6.5x55 and 6.5 jap believe it or not.Love the swede.

Besides the 6.5*284 I have a 6.5 jap a 6.5-06 and a .264wm and am in the process of building a 6.5-08 (260 rem) and would love a 6.5 page,Thanks.
Wayne.

I've always heard the 6.5 Swede is pretty much Europe's .30-06 as far as hunting goes. With today's actions, brass and powder the 6.5X55 seems to be a completely different animal.

Not to mention a few of the other great 6.5s/.264s that are popular on the firing line:

6.5 Grendel
6.5X47
6.5 Creedmoor
.260 Rem. (& AI)
6.5-284
6.5-06
.264 Win. Mag.
6.5 Rem. Mag.
6.5 WSM

A lot of history and great scores with the 6.5MMs.

Wayne

Just for interest, there is a long article on the 6.5 Grendel in this month's RifleShooter magazine. Haven't had a chance to read it yet though...
I agree, the 6.5x55 is a different animal with modern actions and loads, but even without pushing it, the cartridge is still very popular in Nordic countries for elk (european moose) and also in the UK for deer.
