I want to take a part a Tikka T3x firing pin to check for rough spots, machine marks, etc. I've done it once in the past, but it was a pain. The snap ring is super tight and tough to get off (you can actually see 2 scratches down the length of the firing pin from the factory installation of the snap ring). I ended up drilling different diameter holes in some hardwood and getting it all apart, but it wasn't the most graceful approach.
Is there a tool available? Is there a video posted somewhere? Can someone describe what they do?
I'm figuring I'll have to make some sort of jig, but I don't have a ton of free time so I figured I'd ask here first.
Thanks for any input.
