I just bought a Tikka T3X Ace in 7 PRC. I am working on a load for 195g Berger Elite Hunters over Retumbo. I’ve heard that tikkas tend to have slow barrels but I’m only getting about 2710fps from a 67.3g charge and already seeing pressure signs (heavy bolt lift and ejector marks). I’m maxed out on seating depth at 3.33 unless I want to single feed (short mag length). Does anyone else have any data on this combo? I’m also using Peterson brass and CCI Lg Magnum Primers. The load data I’ve seen has 67.3g listed as going around 2850fps (same length, same twist). I’ve got 100 rounds down the barrel right now.
