Tikka t3 bell&Carlson m40 stock ?

So has anyone built a heavy barrel tikka t3 on a bell and Carlson m40 tactical/ varmint and have pictures you wouldn't mind sharing ? Also trying to figure out what barrel contour the barrel channel will accept without having to inlet it ?
Have had the thought of getting the rem700 varmint and putting it in a good stock like a hs precision.
Anyone know how good the factory Remington Varmint barrels are ? I can get one local for under 800$.
Just throwing around ideas
Thanks

If I did go the 2nd route option of buying a rem700 varmint in 223 and 308 I'd like to pit one in a mcmillan m40a1 camo stock
And one in a HS precision police stock .
Just wondering how well I can make the factory rem varmint barrels shoot with hand loads ?

I'm starting to like the tikka action more than the 700 . Any suggestions on finding another tikka action ? Or will i have to suck it up and pay for a new tikka rifle just for the action?
Depends on your patience level. I peruse GB with morning coffee, and have found some decent deals on all sorts of rifles. That T3 was one of them. It was a pretty rough looking 300WM, with an ugly brake and scratched up stock. The rifle, with the additional shipping, fees, and tax was cheaper than buying a take off action. I search based on listings from the previous 24 hours. Just make sure to read the feedback of the sellers if you go that route.

I'll have to start looking . Maby local pawn shops .

Stuck a T3X into a B&C with adj cheekrest stock, had to deepen the bottom metal recess to get it to feed, mag sat too low, other than that, works OK.

Not as far as I can see in researching the stocks, just the ones with the CTR mags and the T1 are different, they all seem to say t3 or t3x are interchangeable. All my previous stocks were hinged floorplate style, hadn't encountered needing to hog out the bottom before to make it feed right, live and learn.

T3 and T3X factory bottom metal will work in that B&C stock (my pic above). B&C stocks have a recoil lug tab standing proud of the aluminum bed. It eliminates the factory lug. The rifle above has had a Remington type recoil lug installed.

The pics below show the tab in a B&C sporter stock. It was a snug fit, but fitting and bedding would likely make it better.

The M40 stock above, as shipped from the factory, worked fine with the Tikka T3X varmint rifle that was previously in it. Pic below with the factory rifle.
