Tikka T3 action weight?

Building an ultra light rifle and considering different actions. So anyone .have a weight for T3 action with bolt. Thanks for the help guys.

You’re a lucky guy. I just pulled one apart! Now, I had to pry myself out of my recliner, pull my boots on and walk to the shop. It’s cold and uphill both ways, but for you? No problemo! Tikka t3 223 boltface. 1 lb., 11 5/8 oz.

Complete with clip, trigger, bottom plastic (cant call it metal), etc they are 2lbs 2oz. That puts it right between a SA and LA Rem. They are smooth actions but don't really save any weight over a Remington. The factory triggers are decent with a spring but not light enough for my liking.

Buy an aftermarket “varmint” spring. You can get it down to lighter than you are likely to want for anything but a dedicated benchrest rifle. Seems like mine is from “Ernie the gunsmith”. I’ll find it and post back.

And you can always take a little off of the nose of the spring follower...at your own risk.

I hunt with 12oz to 1lb triggers. The Ernie spring won't go that low. I bought some other springs trying to get it lower and it wont get to a pound without internal work.

Was not really planning on trimming the action. Just seemed like a great action that looked like it should be light. I have a light build in the process.
