^^This^^There's been a few posts/threads about this over on RFC. Seems to be a toss-up. Some think their rifle shoots better with it in and others say it shoots better with it out. Some say they saw no difference.
My T1x shoots great with it in. So just left it there. It's like torque tuning for me. Not much gained by messing with it
A shooting buddy of mine says the shoehorn in makes his shoot a higher point of impact and he says it didnt need to be torqued as much...something like 20-22 in lbs vs 30 in lbs with it out. Wow! Lead? That's hard-core!I took mine out and filled the fore end with lead and epoxy. Heavier and very rigid now.
