Tikka stock fix

Has anyone filled the fore end of a T3 lite stock with foam or something to stiffen it. I was going to try welding a dowel in there and filling it with a spray foam but thought someone may have a better idea? ?

Try a marine hardware (West Marine online for one) store for glass fiber-filled polyester resin. Mixes similarly to Bondo, extremely strong and not too heavy. Be sure to mask everything you don't want this stuff to touch! Cures hard in about an hour. Otherwise mix cut glass fibers with epoxy of your choice for the same thing except heavier.

Spray in lacks control- would tend to be everywhere. Getting a good 2 part epoxy and loading it with cabosil (microglass beads) and fine chopped glass or kevlar or graphite fibers will allow you to add the precise amt neded to fill the void. The cabosil will give good stifness with little increase in weight. Most important clean and prep well use a god quality epoxy. Mix the cabosil after mixing epoxy, same with fiber. The cosistancy should be abt like mayonaise. Raka epoxy products has a good site on webb and good product, less pricey than most.
