I have a tikka t3 with a remington style recoil lug that I am planning to build a stock for. I also have tikka t1 22lr that I have been using in my tube gun stock on the winter.
I would build the stock and bed around the t3 and it's recoil lug. However, if I want to use the 22lr in the stock, should I bed the tikka recoil lug to pop out for the centerfire and drop in for rimfire or just rely on the action screws and friction instead of a lug for the rimfire?
I realize it would be a pain to bed for 2 recoil lugs and I don't think anyone makes a tikka bedding block. The 22lr is also a smaller diameter receiver which may effect things too.
