Tikka Cylcling Question

I have a Tikka T3x in 270 Win lite that I had rebarreled to 6-284. Using the factory mag, it cycles the 55 Bal Tips ok, with about 1/2” of extra play of room.
I wanted to get a 5 round mag for it, and while checking the short mag caliber lengths, mine was equal to the 243 Win OAL. I received it yesterday and load the magazine, and realize that it is not cycling properly With the new shaker action mag.
Does anyone have any experience in what it would take to make this work? The cartridge goes up to the feed ramp, and then stops and then I have to pull the bolt back, and then the cartridge pops up and I am able to feed it into the chamber.

Sounds like you need to open (widen) the feed lips to let the case sit higher in the mag

Dusty, I have basically the same problem with a CZ 527 in .223 caliber. How would you instruct a klutz like me that can pretty much break a bowling ball, in the proper procedure for opening the lips without buggering up the magazine?
