Tikka CTR in .243?

I see Tikka has the CTR on their site, but for some strange reason only in left hand. I thought the CTR would be a neat knock- around rifle for the cab, and hopefully eventually wear a suppressor. I'd really like a .243 though for this purpose, and I like that Tikka makes theirs with a 1-8" twist. They catalog the Super Varmint in a 20" .243, but they appear to retail for north of $1500

A quick search online shows they made the CTR in right hand .243, just not currently. Does anyone have one? Is the twist 1-8" or 1-10"? Anyone know of one for sale anywhere?

They come out in waves it seems. I had a CTR in 243 and 260 both RH that I sold. So keep an eye out on various forums - probably more hunting forums for that caliber.

I just did some poking around that may cost me. There’s a T3 lite in 243 on Gunbroker, but Europtic has a stainless CTR in 260 Rem for under $1000.

I own or have owned 3 CTR's in .260. They are great rifles. The first one I got I worked up a load with H4350 and Berger 130 gr Hybrids. The gun was totally stock except for a 20 moa pic rail and a lighter trigger spring. It was a legitimate 10 round 3/4 min gun at 100 yds. I put it in an MPA chassis and had a Hawk Hill barrel chambered for it, so about $2k worth of upgrades. After doing load work, it was a legitimate 1/2 moa gun at 100 yds. That was an expensive 1/4 moa to gain.

I bought a used one earlier this year or last year. I have it in a KRG Bravo chassis. I haven't worked up a load for it yet, but I expect it will shoot, too.
