Tikka actions and blanked primers

Has anyone experienced the bolt shroud shearing off as the result of a blanked primer with their Tikka T-3 action. Had this occur yesterday in my T-3 lite in .223. The action seemed to handle the gas well as the only clue I had it had happened was a small whiff of gas and the bolt shroud falling after firing the shot. Just curious as to others who may have experienced this and if the shroud is a gas handling design feature. Makes me wonder when ordering a replacement shroud if I should stick with plastic or look into an aluminum one.

Yep, had it happen to me also. Same results on the shroud.
But like a dummy just had to shoot it again. Second blanked primer in a row broke the trigger. Primer blanked and forced firing pin back so hard it breaks the shroud. I went with an aluminum one.
Had to put a jard trigger in it.
