tikka 223 after market ejector extractor springs

Does anyone know what is a good replacement for the tikka t3x ejector spring?

I don't want to mod the stock spring but I want to make it lighter as its ejecting the brass forward of the action and not sideways or towards the rear.

Or is it the extractor spring that is releasing the brass to early where its ejecting forward and not rearward. Stock tikka springs are almost impossible to find.

There must be some replacement spring that I can mod or an aftermarket spring i could try?

Are you working the bolt slow or fast when opening ? a fast sharp opening might do the trick.
Also, do you see marks on the side of the receiver from brass bouncing off after being ejected? The marks would be behind the ejection port.

No marks the 223 brass doesn’t even get that far as soon as it clears the port it flings forward.

Okay. So that sounds like the extractor isn't hanging onto the rim of the brass long enough.

Remove the bolt and insert a piece of brass into the bolt face. Then slowly allow the ejector plunger to push the brass away from the breach face and see what happens. You may have to try holding the brass in different ways as you allow it to move away from the breach face.

so depending on where you hold the brass and release it tosses it about 2 o' clock. When ejecting an empty case in the rifle its all over but mostly forward.

The ejector spring is stiff takes some effort to push it in. I checked the plunger hole and its clean no debris. Same for the extractor blew it out with air and the issue is still there.

Could it be the ejector spring is too strong?

Ejector springs can be really strong. I'm thinking the extractor isn't holding onto the case long enough.

Did this gun ever eject properly?

No it always ejected forward from the beginning. Could it be the extractor spring that is too weak?

I suppose that's possible. I would take a close look at the claw on the extractor.

If you put a fired case against the bolt face, under the extractor, and the tried to pull the case straight away from the bolt, does it slip out from under the extractor?

No it still holds the case

I actually wanted to know if I can find replacement springs for the tikka ejector and extractor. Someplace must have after market springs. Ejector is way to strong and I’m guessing the extractor spring is too weak.
