Tight Chamber

What chamber ( cartridge ) if 6 br it's a case type problem if other not sure what you mean , too tight . Too tight after firing neck sized ammo , too tight that it won't chamber a factory round or other .
If it was professionally chambered I would say it had the wrong reamer , reamer ground wrong , not enough headspace ( easily checked )
More info needed

You haven't given enough information for any good answers, but-- the situation isn't hopeless. Many of us have dealt with this in many different ways. jd

It's a 270 WSM, it's a hunting rifle. When I reloaded the cases after full length resizing, half of them wouldn't fit into the chamber, I can't close the bolt. I've reloaded thousands of rounds and never had this problem

The short mag brass is kinda stout . Are you camming over ? Is the ammo originally shot in your rifle ? If yes to previous then you may need a special die .
If the ammo was shot in another rifle then you resized and tried in your gun it may need a few sizings . I would try to cam over and give some dwell time then rotate the case and size again . Try before loading

How many reloads on the ones that won't fit? Are they to the proper trim length? Are the case head to shoulder dimensions the same as the ones that do fit? Shouldn't be an issue but have you checked for a carbon ring?

Has been on the internet a few times.

LEE- First make sure the the sizing die is adjusted so that the shell holder contacts the base of the die when the ram is at the top of the stroke when resizing a case.. This ensures that the sizing die is bumping the shoulder back as well as reducing the diameter of the case. If the shell holder does not contact the base of the die, the diameter of the case is squeezed down, making the case (and distance to the shoulder) longer. http://leeprecision.net/support/index.php?/Base/Search/Index
Get a flash light to see.

Some have removed a few thousandth from the shell holder , to fl size.

I believe the OP stated he has loaded for this rifle and fired brass before. I'm inclined to think it has to be something with either his resizing procedures or his trim length is way off. The chamber isn't going to change other than a possible carbon build up in the leads of the throat.

Do like 243winxb says and always, run 5-6 sized Brass cases, thru your Gun,.. AFTER sizing Die is set properly, so you don't load, a bunch of, "Bad ones" !
I had this same "problem' in my Tikka .270 WSM and had to screw my sizing Die, down a bit ! The .270 WSM cart. is a HIGH pressure round and needs "proper sizing" for sure as any out of roundness, in the Chamber "shows up" in the sizing process. You "may" have to remove, a few thousandth's off, the top of S-Holder, as stated by .243win., depending on sizing Die brand used/ tolerances. Good luck and let us know what you find.

Could be a die problem. You need to mark the case with a sharpie in a few places and see where it’s tight. Then size a case and see how much it gets sized. Then compare it to an unforced case. Not that it couldn’t be a chamber problem, but die problems are very common.

For SAAMI spec rounds, use a Wilson chamber gauge to verify that sized cases are proper length and headspace is correct. For serious work and wildcat rounds, its better to have a chamber gauge cut from a piece of barrel made with the same reamer that was used to chamber the rifle. Rounds verified by these methods should chamber. If not, then you need to look at the rifle and not the sizing die. Start by examining the chamber with a borescope and next make a Cerrosafe chamber casting. The casting should of course be verified as above as well as be direct measurement.

I would measure the Fired brass before and after sizing.
1- headspace
2- body diameter at the .200 mark
3- body diameter at the case shoulder junction
4- overall trim length
Question- do you have a Wilson case gauge for your caliber?

Brass is all new Lapua Brass, never been fired. Length should not be an issue. I don't have a Wilson gauge.
Brunos sells Wilson case gauges for around $23
I have one for each caliber.
What about the other measurements ?
