I was reading an article on German Salazar's website, where an italian smith uses a throating reamer to periodically clean up the throat on his barrel. It's actually the first time I've heard (or considered) of that as an option, rather than just waiting it out and setting back the barrel.
Does anyone here do that and if so, get good results from it? I'm thinking that if I have a high round barrel that I can get extended use out of by using a throating reamer to clean up a few thou, why wouldn't I do that?
