throat angle for VLD's

What is the best throat angle for heavy VLD's? I am about to order a Kiff reamer in 243 AI and wanted to get some opinions on the best angle for the 6mm 107-115 VLD bullets. I already have a 1.5 degree throater from Dave but want to start out with something better if there is such a thing. I am sure many of you read Boatwrights article in PS on this subject and have opinions with experiences to back them up.
thanks in advance,

Gaintwist:

Not wanting to be a smart a_ _, with a .243 AI with 100% loads your throat will be recontoured in 20 rounds. No kidding just take a bore scope and look for yourself. You will go from a sharp pristine cut throat to a ragged edged hole in 20 rounds. You can easily see this with 10X magnafication.

I shoot NRA Highpower and Long Range, and have just started shooting a .223 chamber with a 4 deg leade, inspired by Jim's article. It shoots well, perhaps a bit better than chambers with 1.5 deg throats, but it's too soon to tell,I only have a few hundred rounds down it). I certainly haven't found any negatives associated with it. The main reason I tried the 4 deg leade is to get extended barrel life; I've only had a usable life of 2,700 rounds at best, and I hope the steeper lands will resist erosion better.

Ronemus,
I too shoot a .223 in LR...Fullbore matches. Bolt gun with 30" 1-7 Krieger and compressed load of R-15 at 3100+ with 80g bullets. The 1.5 degree throat from my Kiff reamer yields a jam egravement that looks like this on my 80 Bergers

Even if it shoots well, I suspect that something like your 4deg might be better with these golf pencil like bullets. Boatwright's math makes sense. Thanks for the feedback. Guess I have nothing to lose with a steeper angle on my chamber reamer.
