Threading Fn SPR barrel?

Gentlemen I am considering threading my FN SPR barrel. It’s the 24” 308 barrel. I have read many posts on many forums that are on both sides of the fence. Will not be an issue or will damage the chrome lining. The posts are from early to mid 2005 to 2015. The rifle groups very well just looking to add a muzzle break or add a can.

I would appreciate any feedback!

I don't think they're chrome lined. When threading factory barrels there is always some risk.

I threaded mine and haven't had any issues.

Spoke to a gunsmith at Douglas barrels today. He explained the how and suggested a shop to do the work. There shouldn’t be an issue.
