I have a T/C Ventura chambered in 22/250 with 22" bbl and 5 R rifling style. 41grs of W-W 760 pushing a 53gr V-Max produced an average velocity of 3821 FPS and 36.5grs of Varget produced an average of 3674 . I know my chrongraph is fine shot a 22 auto pistol for 1,140 fps. So why is this short bbl behaving like a 26" bbl ?
Thought short bbls reduced muzzle velocity ?

I guess some barrels are faster than others. 
I know I'd be happy with that as long as it was accurate. ;D
