Looking into ordering a 22br barrel for my Encore Pro-Hunter. Already have...and REALLY like a 6br barrel from Thompson for the same rifle. Just looking for the "do's and don'ts" for the brass (guess ya full length re-size the 6br stuff) before your off and running. Anyway,..I'd love to hear from some of the 22br folks & here how you approach it with some good starting point loads to get up & running. Thanks in advance!

You gunna make your own brass? If you do it's pretty easy. Get yourself a full length 22BR die. One pass on the 6BR brass and you're done.
I would recommend a Forster Precision Bushing Bump die. It's not made for the 22 BR but the 6BR will work. (with a set of bushings to fit the 22BR case neck) Also get a Redding 6BR body die.
Neck size and use the body as needed to get a good fit in the chamber as they get snug. Maybe every 3 or 4 firings. Shoulder bump, neck size and your brass will last a long time.
Watch for high pressure signs because they will come on faster than the 6BR.
Make up your brass, load them up and go shooting. Watch for "bug holes". ;D
