Thinking 6mm ARC .

Thinking of building a 6mm Arc on a AR15 platform . Any advise would be welcome . Thinking of a Compass Lake Bartlein
barrel but not sure what length . Looking for good accuracy out to 600yrd to start with . Already have CMT left hand stripped upper and waiting on the lower . I am right handed but shoot left so will have to get a left hand BCG .

Honestly, 65Grendel Forum will have best information and users.... 6ARC=6mmGrendel

Personally, I would want to go 18", but if you are wanting to build more of a range rifle then 20". If you are wanting to push the 1000 yard then most are in the 24" barrels for precision.

I would go with the longest barrel you can. It can always be shortened. It's a rotten job welding bits on later! I would fancy a 20 inch as a good all rounder.

I have a Rainer ultra match that I pretty happy with.
I just built a new upper around that same barrel, a 22 incher, pretty pleased myself.

It'll do half MOA if I hold my mouth right.

I previously had two Areo Precision 6 ARC uppers, an 18" & 20", both went down the road.
