Things to do on Australia Day

OK, Butch. You opened this one up to some discussion.:)

Two decades ago I pulled my Kimber 82 SVT with Shilen barrel out of the stock. I mounted it to a cobbled together solid metal table rest with feet elevation adjustment and able to be c-clamped to our concrete bench rest tables. On a very calm early evening in summer, I was able to dial in shots and drop them into the 18"dia. 500 meter club steel with astounding regularity. You could even see the beginnings of a good percentage forming a 5-6 inch group after 50-60 shots. None missed the target. A few hit the outer edges in all directions.

Forgot to mention I was viewing the steel with my Kowa spotting scope.

The only ammo I had for this little experiment was SK standard plus. I never repeated this after that evening.
Today we have PRS rimfire shooters doing this prone from bipods.

If it's Australia Day we should at least listen to Slim Dusty on Youtube sing "A Pub With No Beer". Then the Seekers singing "We Are Australians". Both wonderful songs. g'day!!
