Most likely this contract is just replacing another contract that is expiring to meet ongoing demand for NATO ammo, also pretty likely that one of the Vista owned primer makers was on the last contract. I don’t think this news means the sky is falling again.

Good thing i've invested into stockpiling 223/556 reloading components. Think I have about 17,500 rounds worth of 223/556 components. I learned a painfull lesson back in 2013 when I had to pay $74 for a brick of 22LR Thunderterds from Lucky Gunner online scumbags.

With Winchester running Lake City Ammunition Plant, this frees up Federal to take on said contracts. With overruns and lots that don’t meet MilSpec standards typically being sold to the public channels, I’m not certain the FBI’s order will grossly affect supply. Lake City produces nearly 1.4 Billion rds of Small Arms ammunition annually. I would think the culls alone would exceed the equivalent of orders from the FBI for Federal.

Went down to my gun club yesterday and sold an old friend 2000 Winchester shotgun primers in a brown paper bag yesterday, for $70.00. As we were talking, he asked about small pistol primers. As I left, got to thinking and returned with 200 small pistol primers, free. Starting to understand the rush of being a drug dealer. When guns are outlawed only outlaws will have guns. Can't remember who said that, but the chickens might be coming home to roost. Told him if he feels guilty about my prices, to make a church donation. Have no desire to go through life with out family and friends.
