There are still some great people left in the world!

I have an old neighbor that stops by every once in a while, as he and his wife did this afternoon. Most time they stop by for show and tell of his or her's latest range toy. This afternoon was no different. He was very happy to show me his new RPR in 6mm Creedmoor, very nice rifle! Ruger is really stepping up their game with the new RPRs.
Anyway, they had just returned from the range and since he does not reload anymore, he gave me a once fired box of Nosler 6mm Creedmoor brass. I thought, that is very generous, until his wife pulled out 2 boxes of Hornady 6mm ARC ammo and also handed it to me. She went on to tell me how it was bought by mistake and could not be returned. Having no use for the ammo, they knew I have a 6mm ARC and could use it. Of course, I excepted the ammo, but when I pulled my wallet out to reimburse them for their cost, I was told to put it away.
This is not the first time this family has shown great generosity to myself and my family. They are truly wonderful people with big hearts.
I will be retiring from the Marine Corps next week and returning to my hometown in Ohio. These are the kind of people I will miss once I am gone! Then again, it's only a 9-hour drive!!!

God bless selfless people!

Thanks for your service my friend! May your days ahead be peaceful as you wish.

Enjoy your well earned retirement! There will always be great folks in this world. Just not as many as we would like to have.

All the best from this end of the bench.

Kind hearts are few in this world, I always love when people take the time to share their's, Thank You for serving and preserving out Freedom and Liberties.

Find a way to return the favor. Invite them to dinner, take them out for dinner, buy them a gift...whatever. I bet he can use something to help his shooting. Cheap scope level, neoprene scope cover...

An act of kindness should always be rewarded, not forgotten.

Congrats on your retirement and Thank You for your service Sir. Hopefully by now your kids know how to navigate the wintery roads here in northern Ohio and take care of ice on the car's windshield.
