Well,

The presidental race looks grim for gun owners:mad:.. Better stock up on your components now...As gun owners and shooters, I feel that we are in for four long years...

The hardest part of this whole thing is believing that there is really half of America that would vote for a America hating, terrorist supporting, LIBERAL, amoung many other things I can think of. I love America, but right now I'm embarassed for this country. I want to cuss soemthing, kick something and sat down and cry....Congrads to the liberal media..It's truely their victory....It's a sad day...

We need the NRA to become stronger to counter any threat to gun owners. Everyone must take the first step & join if you haven't.

Gun and ammo dealers were already ramping up prices earlier this week.

Ironically, I read posters on some of the "mainstream" gun forums advising people to lay in huge stocks of cheap ammo. I'm not sure that's the best strategy. I do see the possibility of Congress trying to impose special taxes on bullets, powder etc., as a way of getting around the Second Amendment. In California the gun-banners have tried to pass bills requiring an expensive annual license to buy ammo or bullets. That's another strategy we must be prepared for.

Plus 1 for the NRA!!!! If your not a member of NRA, you have no room to bitch!! In spite of some things that I don't like about them, they are our greatest hope...

I'd like to see all special interest group shooting sports, such as IBS, USPSA, etc, require NRA membership in order to shoot..This would be a great first step...

Looks like today is a date that America as we know it, made a hard left, right off a cliff. Unbelievable. I feel now as President Reagan did when he was asked why he left the Democratic party,to become a Republican). He said, "I didn't leave the party, the party left me". And so it seems that at least half of America wants to abandon what makes America great and turn us into the United States of Socialist America. With the power Democrats will very likely have, conservatism could see dark days for many years. Grant amnesty to 12 million illegal aliens, who will vote overwhelmingly Democratic, and states like Texas could go blue, making it near impossible for any Republican presidential nominee to win. For a long time.

I don't know guys, I live in the San Francisco bay area, and before the election, I felt I could move to Idaho, or someplace where my philosophy is more welcome. As it is, I feel most comfortable right here, with you guys, even if I am quite new. But now, the hard left rule is probably going to be the law of all the land, with no escape from the gun hating powers now likely to be elected.

Tomorrow, I am off to the gun shop, to buy a pistol. Given that I can only buy one every 30 days in California, and that this firearm is likely to be the first under attack, gotta act now.

I am an NRA member, and signed my wife up as well. If anyone reading this isn't an NRA member, do sign up! Please!

well i have stayed out of the "political" blogs for some time now because i just get too upset. It is very good that i know i have friends everywhere that feel as I do about this. I am going to do my very best to help the economy out at this point. Just finished ordering another 1K bullets, couldn't order more so i can afford to join the NRA. hell, i might even sign up my two dogs. i thought about registering them to vote, but i found out that dogs are only allowed to vote democratic, and they wouldn't have it, HAHAHA!!!!!! at least gun sales are very strong in the last couple of months, and I bet we haven't even started yet. I bet they sky rocket now. Hey Phil3, maybe if you bought dogs, they could buy a pistol a month also!!

You are absolutely correct man. We must have a lot of people in this country that hates it pretty bad. I wonder why they did not just leave if it is so bad here. It is embarassing to think about, what) we are going to have for a so called president
And, before all is said and done I bet America will regret this decision for a long time. His plans for this country is not good. I hope the people that voted for him reap what they have sown. It is good enough for them. They deserve what they get but the sad part is the ones that did not vote for him will suffer too. Bill

I think now is the time for cooler heads to prevail. I like to stay optimistic, it seems the senate will stay within filibustering for the republicans.

Also, it should help our image in the world as a whole, and anyone that has been out of the country knows that this is not a popular time for the US and maybe Obama will help that.

We have to hope that He realizes that he was elected by going to the Center, and lets hope he remains there. And surrounds himself with some good advisers, as they are probably more important then he is.

We must stay ever vigilant in contacting our representatives and letting them know we will not stand for any infringement on our right esp our 2nd amendments.

Its scary times, but we will make it, and maybe we will be surprised and he will do ok. He is a big unknown and lets hope that we saw the real Obama campaigning and not the real obama based on his past voting, though I think this is probably over optimistic, and probably naive, but only time will tell).

God bless America.... We need it!

Well, I have one small mutt, wife's dog) and the Doberman for me. I think the latter is entitled to a pistol! I won't count the cat.

I agree...I may not like what he stands for...but he is now President. Let's all hope that he will be the "center" man that he acts to be on the election curcuit, and not the man that I'm afraid he truely is and has hidden so well during this election. I said a prayer tonite for him, that he'd lead this country, and not destroy it from within....mean while, we must be viligant, and protect what our founding forefathers promised us though our Bill of Rights, and the Second Amendment..

I congratulate Mr. Cooper on his foresight.

In the meantime, remember that any tackdriver with a scope is a "sniper rifle".

Obammy said he would spread the wealth. When I get my share of ExxonMobile profits, I will buy up all the bullets, powder, primers, etc., etc. I can get my hands on.

falconpilot, be careful what you write.

I posted a similar message over on Sniper's Hide and have been banned from the Forum. Seems I committed a no-no unintentionaly,my fault. All I get now is "Member BLATANTLY ignores the rule against ANY TYPE OF POLITICAL POSTS." when I attempt to access the Forum.

Hope to see you Sunday at Camp Robinson for the 1000 yard Match.

Hi everyone, I live in the state of perpetual liberalism, NY. Now that Chuckie Schumer and company have been em-boldened I fear much more sever gun laws here such as they have in Mass. Such as mandatory long gun registration and exorbitant yearly fees. I am to young to retire and to old to change jobs and move to another state. Can anyone recommend any books or articles that will give me some info to shield all or part of my gun collection from harsh and irresponsible future laws. Tax laws have loop holes maybe gun laws will also?

Pick up a copy of "Unintended Consequences" by John Ross. It's a fictional book based on historical facts. Lots of historical info, and way very well be the way Americais headed. It doesn't "really" answer your question, but should be read.
