The stop on a Bolt handle rotation

Ok guys,
I have heard of milling some off the back side of a bolt handle that is to long(what I call the rotation stop of the bolt when opening) but what happens when it is too short to make contact with the tang?
So basically after contact with the cam and sliding the bolt out some-getting on the straight of the action is what's stopping the bolt. Not the end of the bolt handle on the tang. I have not installed it onto the bolt yet. Its a PTG bolt and handle kit for a Remington 600. Just making sure I wasn't missing anything. I may have the wrong bolt some how.

The bolt handle angles are all wrong on the new bolt. It’s a 700 handle not a 600. I tried to make it work. No go.
First the angle under the bolt handle where it rest on the action when the bolt is close is like 40 to 50 degrees at a guess. 600 is more vertical Straight up. This making the rotation off and will cut a line in the bolt handle or flatten the sharp angle on the action.
Second the extraction angle on the bolt handle is farther back on the 700 handle band. Also the cramming angle on the action has two angles cut on it. The 600 bolt handle matches these angles the 700 only has one angle.I am going to call PTG and see if they have the correct bolt and hope I don’t have to wait 6 to 8 weeks or cut the original in a good spot and make the other half of the handle and tig it on and mill the tig spots to clean it up. I can time the old 600 handle in 5 minutes . I have 3 hour tied up on the 700 handle cutting it trying to make it work. The original dog leg bolt is ugly. ( I know its a lot to try and understand my texting )
