The new 8208 XBR is very stable

I shot 5 consecutive "zeroes" with charges from 30.5 to 31.5. I used a Krieger barrel (583 rounds) and a BAT mod B action. The bullets are from Del Bishop. I used both Wolf SR and Fed 205 primers. Here is a picture (I hope) of the five groups. James
PS the groups were .039, .089, .098, .089, .062

James,

That's amazing shooting!

PS: You posted a thumbnail version of the picture. If you can email me the original (larger) photo I'll post that for you. We'd all like to see those tiny groups. Looks like (as Murdica said), this powder's for real.

Just above every target is a small number 3, I wonder if that is the number of rounds per group, just a guess. If so, its still outstanding. But having the other info would be nice.

Just went to the gun show in Greensboro, NC on Saturday and found 1 vendor there that had both an 8lb keg and a 1lb can of this powder. I saw a lot# on the 1lb can but not on the 8 pounder so I didnt buy both. I only bought the 8lb one. Now if my rifle will ever get completed by the gunsmith and him give me a call, I may get to try this powder out.

Gunamonth, is correct in my mind, stability refers to temperature, and a powders ability to not change pressures much, if at all, as its temperature changes. And so far Hodgdon's line of extreme powders, like Varget had that sown up.
I hope this 8208 works as good as it looks in the pictures.
M.
