Factory triggers worked and tuned down to 1 lbFor those of you shooting a thousand yards or past it; which trigger did you choose, and why?
thank you Gentlemen,
Rich
If you like 2 stage triggers Bix & Andy Tac Sport X and the Tac Sport Pro X are available in 2 stage, I like a 2 stage for some of my rifles. Thanks to all who have posted their preferences.
I started shooting HBR about 1984-85. A gunsmith took my factory 700 trigger and converted it to an ounce and three -eights two stage. Great trigger, but it was a bit fussy for my tastes.
The Gunsmith at the LGS that will be building my 300 NMI rifle has offered to let me try his TT Diamond trigger. I expect to set mine at about 8oz initially, and go from there as competition dictates.
So, thank you all again.

I’m plenty happy with a awesome 2# trigger.I’m probably the outlier on this board, but I like a good 2-3# trigger with a consistent break and little creep for my .338LM and and 300NMI. I’m shooting prone off a bipod and a rear squeeze bag or Gamechanger. Lots of me on the rifle and directly behind it to control recoil & stay on target/ spot impacts. Something like a Trigger-Tech Primary or Special suits me in this application. A super light trigger would be no good at all (for me).
