The last variable...

I like Jewel’s but assuming you mean what you can actually get, the Bix n Andy competition is a really nice trigger. I don’t like the way Flavio and Sidhe triggers feel.

Bix. Either comp or tack sport pro.

Comp if you have a dedicated single shot real serious comp gun. Designed to run in the low OZ range.

Tac sport pro can be set up in several configurations and give a lot of flexibility to what your using the trigger for now or in the future. Removable bolt release and safety and they have really big weight adjustment range. Can also change trigger shoes. Honestly find them hard to tell the difference in feel between the comp and they are cheaper. Needs a little more width in the inlet than a comp due to the extra length of the safety and bolt release pins.

For those of you shooting a thousand yards or past it; which trigger did you choose, and why?

thank you Gentlemen,

Rich
Factory triggers worked and tuned down to 1 lb
(I hold the rifle tight.. so don't want a 2 oz trigger for field use,
fine motor control goes away when muscles are tightened up
....but I still want a trigger light enough it goes off with a very light touch crisply with no creep
12 oz to 1 pound serves me well)

Thanks to all who have posted their preferences.

I started shooting HBR about 1984-85. A gunsmith took my factory 700 trigger and converted it to an ounce and three -eights two stage. Great trigger, but it was a bit fussy for my tastes.
The Gunsmith at the LGS that will be building my 300 NMI rifle has offered to let me try his TT Diamond trigger. I expect to set mine at about 8oz initially, and go from there as competition dictates.

So, thank you all again.

Rich

If you like 2 stage triggers Bix & Andy Tac Sport X and the Tac Sport Pro X are available in 2 stage, I like a 2 stage for some of my rifles.

I’m probably the outlier on this board, but I like a good 2-3# trigger with a consistent break and little creep for my .338LM and and 300NMI. I’m shooting prone off a bipod and a rear squeeze bag or Gamechanger. Lots of me on the rifle and directly behind it to control recoil & stay on target/ spot impacts. Something like a Trigger-Tech Primary or Special suits me in this application. A super light trigger would be no good at all (for me).

I’m plenty happy with a awesome 2# trigger.
