Well at least it isn't a CREEDMORE! I figure if I am going to dent my curmudgeon reputation with a pedestrian cartridge such as the 223, I can justify it by saying it is now retro...wasn't that blasphemous alteration of the fine Duece made in the 50's? So I am old, it is old, hey...at least I didn't go all modern fanboy!

That 223 barrel is going up for sale! I have had my moment with being "pedestrian" and am going back to esoteric and goofy.

Hey...plausible denial....

FYI, I went to a 17 caliber on a case that is unobtanium...so there! No need for using a 30-06 when you can find a 2006 case touted as the next Sooper Pooper Dog Blaster and then is totally dropped from industry support by 2012!

The silver basically new TC Carbine Contender barrel in the retro 223 caliber will go up for sale next week unless I can be pursuaded to keep it for some cruel experiment.
