The kind of guys here

Today I went to my mailbox and found a very unexpected package. Puzzled I looked at the return address and noted it came from a guy I chat with often here and helped out once. I really didn't think the help I gave was that out of the ordinary, but the guy I helped certainly is! I am not going to name him, but in that package was 100 Gold box 223 Lapua and 100 69 gr SMK. There was also a card saying thanks for my service as a cop.

I have to say it humbled me, made me darned grateful for the extended community of shooters and reassured me of the great kind of people we associate with.

Thanks J. You made my day.

There's a lot of people here that would do what they could do for a comrade in arms good deal.

Well at least it isn't a CREEDMORE! I figure if I am going to dent my curmudgeon reputation with a pedestrian cartridge such as the 223, I can justify it by saying it is now retro...wasn't that blasphemous alteration of the fine Duece made in the 50's? So I am old, it is old, hey...at least I didn't go all modern fanboy! ;):D:p:p:p

An I knew I could count on you to bring it up all public and all Josh!!! ;)

I don't reload or shoot like 99.9% of the people, but I will help when I can.I sent some bullets to another guy here that were hard to find, brass would not work
so I pulled bullets and sent, been looking at them for 3 years, put them to use.

I'm another member that has had some pay it forward. Requested some brass for a few different builds in Ackley and instantly had offers. All you guys are awesome and dependable. I appreciate it. I've done it too and hope the individuals benefited from it as well. This is a from of comradery. We're all connected in this game and seeing and participating in the helping of other members is what makes this forum the best of the best.

Josh, your one of them( good guys).

Ironic I just came from a post about a user complaining about to many non shooting related posts.

Well, this post is not directly reloading or shooting informative but, this is the kind of glue that binds us.
Yes, Snert I thank you for your service as well to the community.
Even though you dont mention the sender he surely will see this and know his kind gesture was appreciated.

On a side note: I have never seen a hobby with so, many good hearted people.
Me personally have made quite a few good friends in this hobby and we talk about all kinds of things. Not to mention the banter we tease each other with is hilarious. Heck I like heading to the range every week if nothing more just to shoot the sh!t.

I can honestly state that I have not met so many nice people in one group as I have here.
Had I not joined this site a few years ago I would have missed these helpful and generous folks.
I am grateful that I have. What a horrible loss if I had not.

where do people shoot around Austin,Tx,,I still got a lot to learn and time is getting shorter every day!!
