It is a $35 entry fee but with 60% payback
There will be a winner in every class if there are guns contesting that class,you will compete against your class only. You do have the option of shooting up in class.
Amont of the 60% winners recieve will be determined by number of shooters in that class. I.E. 1-3 will be one winner---4-6 will pay two places--- 7-10 3 places
classes are as follows;
Factory to include 40-x Kimbers, Cooper and the like. You may bed the stock and replace or modify the trigger only.
Modified--- Factory guns with modifications. If metal has been removed it is modified.
Custom--- You buy these in pieces and parts or purchase one that has been built from pieces. I know factory was at one time pieces also, but you know what I mean.
These three classes will be shot from two piece rests or sandbags or bipods.
Unlimited class--- anything over 13.5 lbs and may be shot from one piece rests. If you bring a 13.6 lb factory gun it is unlimited.

Update on new score target
I will try to expound on the merits of these new targets in a clear and concise way, something I am not very good at.
First of all they are not intended to replace any existing targets or score system, the purpose is to level the playing field in the score shooting game and hopefully bring out the many shooters that do not own a .30 cal. Bench gun or any gun they would think to be competitive.
I started out shooting score 5 yrs. Ago with a .22 PPC, needless to say I did not fare very well, many of you have similiar experiences, so I had moved on to a .30 BR and have had some success. Then after reading the many discussions on this board about the virtues of and the shortcomings of various calibers I came to realize the drawbacks was not the cal. But the target.
The target used by IBS and I assume the one under consideration by NBRSA have a dot @.0625"or 1/16 inch, in order to hit this dot every shot a .30 cal. Rifle must agg. .308 + .0625 = .3705 in a perfect environment, sounds easy doesn,t it, a .243 cal. Rifle must agg. .243 + .0625 = .3055, that is of course a difference of .065 or difference in bullet diameters. It is easy to see why the .30 cal. Dominates, the .243 just has to shoot so much better to compete.
The solution is in the target: Introducing ETS (EQUALIZED TARGET SYSTEMS) what else would you call it?
This system features a .30 cal. Target dot that measures .050" and a ten ring that measures .450", yes that is smaller than that which is currently in use, notice that .050 + .308 = .358 agg.
The .243 cal. Target has a dot .115" and ten ring of .515", again notice
.115 + .243 = .358 agg. That’s right they are the same agg.
The .22 cal. Target has a dot of .134" and a ten ring of .534".......
.134 + .224= .358agg. Any caliber can be used with this system but only these three are currently in print as these three are the most popular shot in short Benchrest.
You will probably look at me and say you fool the bigger dot is surely easier to hit, you need to try it yourself then because the math don’t lie, all of these three calibers in a good rifle will agg. Considerably less than .358, if it doesn’t you need to rework it or get rid of it.
The ten ring works the same way, do the math, where it got a little tricky was the nine ring and below, to make this mathematically correct just add .450 to each successive ring
.30 cal ten ring .450 + .450 = .900 for the nine ring
.243 cal. Ten ring .515 + .450 = .965 for its nine ring
.224 cal. Ten ring .534 + .450 = .984 For its nine ring
This continues out to the five ring which is the lowest score other than a zero.
The dot counts as an eleven, you will notice six scorable bulls per target
for a possible 66 total score per target. The practice bulls are conveniently placed center target for less movement during the course of fire. This system has not attempted to copy any other and I’m quite proud of it whether it ever gets shot or not.
This pretty well explains the target, anything else such as sanctioned matches will be dealt with a a latter time.
