A new young man joins the ranks! It has been over 25 years since I wrote a very similar letter to my parents, however i still remember exactly how he feels right now! I can only think of how proud you must be of him right now!!! Please forward my congrats to him and if he make it over to Camp Lejuene have him hit me up. I'll do my best to show him the ropes!

What an awesome accomplishment, congratulations to him. My son graduated Paris Island in February, straight to mct then to his MOS . We just saw him for the first time in the beginning of September, what a changed man. He's now stationed at Cherry Point and he loves it! Enjoy graduation, im envious, we could not attend because of Covid. I understand it's spectacular. 20210831_123528.jpg

This is our 2nd go around. My first was my oldest 11 years ago, this is my youngest. Graduation is most certianly a memory you will never forget. Extremely powerful.
We are lucky in the fact that they loosened the graduation rules a couple of months ago. He was the last class that had to quarantine for 2 weeks prior to the start of boot camp.

We were able to go to Missouri for MOS graduation, it was awesome, but not close to Boot Camp from my understanding. My son's phone call after the crucible was almost identical to your sons letter, we are very proud of him and all the other service members past and present.

I remember the pride I felt the day my oldest son made it years ago and the way it changed his life.
My wife and I both cherish the memories when we went out to CA for the ceremony and made some lifelong friends with his fellow boots and their parents.

Truly a life changing event for me, mostly in the way I realized I'd long been taking our service men and women for granted my whole life ignorant of the sacrifices they and their family's make.

Tell your son my wife and I thank him for his service!!
