The Franklin/Shurley Brothers LowRider Lives On

We are excited to announce that the Richard Franklin/Shurley Brothers Lowrider line will live on!!

Originally designed by Richard Franklin in the early 2000’s, the low rider stocks were some of the first to feature a low center of gravity and parallel forearm and toe designs. Shurley Brothers continued to improve the Lowrider by adding the XL line which allowed for a better fit with the 1.470 inch diameter actions and larger.

We acquired the stock line from Shurley Brothers over the last few months and have further improved the design. We have added a very small amount of wood material to the height of the action area to allow for the 1.550 actions to be bedded with tang buried and not need to shave the trigger shoe.

Pricing is now $1099 with inlet starting in 2025


This one is fully inletted for a RBRP Borden Accuracy Jim Borden BRMXD

We are also continuing, with refinement, the free recoil stock from Shurley Brothers. Blue stock below is cut with the Kelbly Golden Bear

Wish there were more options for composite stocks. Since Kelbly stopped making stocks, I think we are down to McMillan and Felso out of Canada.

We are cutting them. Out of blue at the moment as we cut a blue MXD, seen below in the Lowrider format.

Presently need a stock for a 1000 yard rifle build using Bat M 1.55 round action with 1.375 barrel for 300 WSM. Liked the stocks shown in your post from Oct ‘23. Would prefer tail stock without the cutout.
