I shot with Vlad (V.Labusov) at the 2003 World Benchrest Championships in Sweden. It looks like Vlad is still going strong.

That WBC was the first benchrest match attended by Russians. They have come a very long way in a decade.

Maybe the Cold War could have been avoided if we'd all gotten together and shot marmots. ;)
Good idea, but we are far from cold war. This handwork of politicians. In Russia the federal law complicating possession of a rifle or a gun is passed. Law infringement attracts the penalty from 50 to 100 thousand roubles (three thousand dollars) with confiscation of rifles. >:(

Congratulations to the Winners!

Looks like everyone had some fun, and the shooting was taken very seriously. Nice looking rifles too.

Does anyone know if they were all made by the same gunsmith?? They all look very familiar, with mostly Nightforce scopes.

Looks like a groundhog to me. Someone must have come to Pennsylvania and took a couple over there to shoot.

Never saw anyone get a big trophy cup for shooting a groundhog. You get to keep the cup or is a "loaner" and you keep a little medal?

Really problem. On a regiment of a fireplace there is no size for storage of cups. Medals are convenient for hanging up on cups. If not to hang up, I forget what from what tournament. Sensation, that I should construct a special sideboard for them.
Share the experience?
But the most good cup is not given. The cup is stored in club. It is made of silver and crystal with gilding. To winners do tablets gilt and attach on a cup. Tablets with my name there five pieces.
In a cup bowl two marmots sit. Them on a photo it is not visible. I hope, when the club will be bent to take a cup and to saw on slices in an old age for forage purchase.
;D

I just love that little groundhog with the medal hanging on it.

If I could just get a shot.
Solved problem.
The command of Ukraine took part on the seventh tournament.
Very strong sportsmen. They have won recently F a class in England.
On marmots in 2009 have taken the third place.
Come on tournament. It is boring to compete with itself
I plan to be in October in Australia on BR tournament.
