Getting closer. Need a stock. JGHOGHUNTER did a nice profiling job on the wood from Dave Tooley. Joshb will finish the stock other than checkering. I'll need to find somebody for a simple quick job. The receiver came from PT&G and I think it is a Stiller clone. The bolt is a PT&G fluted one piece bolt with the .0625 firing pin, 3 pos safety, and Sako extractor. The Shilen #4 contour barrel is chambered in 222 Remington Magnum Ackley Improved. A Shilen trigger. I rechambered an old 222 barrel to fireform the brass. Using old Wilson 222 dies to make the sizing and seating dies.
Wyman has convinced me that this is the best coyote cartridge! Hard to argue with the man that has documented over 3100 kills.

Sounds like a neat build and a classic cartridge. Can't wait to see how it shoots. Any ideas what you're planning to go with?

I dont know about THE best, but Im sure it works great as do about 20 other yote rounds. I prefer a faster 6mm or 25/06 out here where they tend to hang up at 5-600 yards. But I have killed a pile with a triple deuce also.

Sounds like a good candidate for some 52 gr Bart’s.

I’ll say though, Wyman clearly never used a 6 BR

I have some super long 101 grain 22 bullets. Don't know where I got them and they are pretty nasty looking. I'm loaded up with 22 bullets from 40 grain thru 80grn. I decided on a 10 twist when I built it.

Well, I will start with whatever Wyman likes. I think I will start with Cheek 52s and maybe some Sierra 69 SMK. Initially I will use my 2.5X x 25X March. I do have all kinds of powder.

Wyman's pet load is a little warm, 29.5 of Varget with a 55gr. Sierra Spirepoint.
