The "Cecil" effect

After the Cecil the lion debacle, hunters abandoned Zimbabwe lion hunting and now they need to cull 200 lions. Millions of dollars are going to be lost to the hunting, taxidermy and transportation businesses, government fees, along with support for schools, medical care, food, and jobs for local villages. Maybe the protesters can find room in their back yards for one of them. Link to the full story is here.

I always said if the protesters of the Hegins Pigeon shoot liked them pigeons that much. When they went on vacation, fill their houses with pigeons and see how much they like them when they return after a week or so.

Another thing was at that shoot they would stand out at the road and buy the pigeons and release them. One guy I worked with had a brother who raced pigeons. He would take them there and sell them to the protesters. They would turn them loose and he would go home and get them and take them back and sell them again. He would get paid for training them to race. Matt

Now that is using your head, LOL. Recycling pigeons for profit, LOLAL.

When I was a little kid, local farmers used to hire me to sit in their barns with my Red Rider BB rifle and shoot them (pigeons) in the eye/head, drops them right there without hurting anything in the barn.

When I was younger I painted bridges for a living. Learned to hate them flying rats after having to clean out my first core box half filled with crap, nests and dead squabs with a paint scraper. Did I mention lice infestations?

Now that i like.

Unfortunately, that story does not fit into the agenda of the propaganda machine. To quote Joseph Stalin: The death of one man is a tragedy. The death of millions is a statistic.

like my outfitter said if the people wont eat lion they will have to shoot them like rats and leave them lay! also they will lose from $20,000 to $50,000 a lion. now some place have stopped elephant hunting and the same thing is going to happen. when will people ever learn if it wasn't for hunters a lot of the game we all enjoy would be gone!!

Hog,
Isn't this much like the case that happens so often and even the same mentality with the lefties wanting to ban guns and eliminated gun sales all together? You have a one BONE HEAD pull a stupid (if not mistaken) stunt and pretty soon all other hunters and shooters are labeled as being the same. That pure BS is what fuels the STUPIDITY of those who cannot understand the obvious, that one bad apple doesn't make the entire tree rotten. And as for the protesters (and lefties), they have no life and actually believe they can save the world. Guess their "Dudley Do Right" approach to life makes them "feel better." But my guess is that if you took any one of their brains and put it on the edge of a razor blade, it would look like a bee bee rolling down an eight lane highway.

My oldest son is on staff at one of the biological research departments for the University of Iowa. About a month ago they had a goat escape after they put him in a carrier to transport him to Iowa State Unv. Within minutes the loonies were going wild calling for an all out Fed Government investigation, it was so bad it was downright hilarious listening to the nuts. I told my wife that goat only has two worries, getting hit by a car or being captured by a couple Greek Doctor's from the U that have a big goat barbecue every year. She worked there until she retired, those medical folks sure can party. They finally got a dart into him after he was on the loose for a couple weeks.

Idiots are everywhere. Upstate NY west side of Rochester there is a fire dept. that has a squirrel shoot for a fund raiser, most, biggest that sort of thing. Loonies come from as far as long island to protest, they're hurting the balance of nature.
