The 2021 Bayou Rifles LR Club Championships

Turbulent Turtle

F-TR competitor
This past Saturday, Bayou Rifles, Inc. held its annual Long Range Club championships event. I have just posted the results at the club's website:

We had some excellent shooting this weekend and the weather was very pleasant, with mild conditions early on and some wind kicking in later in the day. We had good attendance, especially for a Saturday just before Easter Sunday.

The F-Open champion is Tim Vaught who shot a 598-41X, an awesome score. A bevy of excellent shooters was nipping at his heels and you can see the list at the link above.

The F-TR champion is Jenniffer Bondurant, who shot a 598-37X with her bipoded .308 musket. You read that correctly, she was only 4X behind the F-Open champion with his .300 SuperLoudenboomer rifle on the 127 pound front rest. Jenniffer is just an awesome shooter, a truly gifted one at that. I think it's unfair competition but it is what it is.

At the end of the month, BRI will be hosting the 2021 edition of the TSRA LR championships. The line is full but the waiting list is empty, and with 4 weeks to go...

Congratulations to Jenniffer and Tim.

Denys you are behind on the times regarding open front rests. They are 687 pounds we come in at 2am with cranes and 18 wheelers to get those on the line and drill them 20 feet into the ground so they do not so much as wiggle. we found at 685 pounds, a trigger slapper like me can influence the rifle in the rest so the added weight and the 20 foot anchor was needed! :)

Joking aside...

Our girl @Jennb put on a shooting clinic! She has put in the work and it has shown over the years. It is super exciting to share the line with her and all of the other talented shooters at Bayou! TimmyV @tvaught is an amazing champion, sportsman and person. We are lucky to have him and Jenn both on our shooting lines. I have seen both of them share gear, give a hand and offer new shooters solid shooting advice to enhance their shooting experiences. Congrats to both of them for their stellar performances! Congrats to JennB and TimmyV for setting and tying new club range records for the day. Jenns 60 rounds is a new club/course record(598-37X). and TimmyV's has tied the current 20 (200-16x)shot 1000 record!

We also have a super solid work crew detail on keeping the cats herded, match flowing, scores posted, etc etc etc. That is all thanks to YOU, Glenn, Ben, Joe, Doug, Ray P, Fredrick and many others...
