The 20 Vartarg’s just shoot…..

I’ve been a fan of the 20 Vartarg for over 14 years now. This little bugger is another one that just loves everything I feed it regardless of previous load data.

• Borden Mountaineer Rimrock
• Right bolt, left port
• 223 bolt face
• Shurley Brothers Lowrider stock
• Curly maple and cherry
• Bedded
• Bartlein 12 twist HV barrel
• Trijicon ten mile
• Bix n Andy Tacsport Pro
• No recoil pad…. Yet

First two shots were low, barrel warm up shots just to get it on paper. Click a few up for new group and piled on the next 5 at 100 yrds. First 7 shots from barrel. I typically start with AA2200 or N120 but for this rifle….

Yes, just took it out of the lathe Wednesday. I bedded the stock a year ago but took a while for bartlein to make the barrels

Lol, I know - it’s a matter of time. I’ll finish up what I have in the fire now and probably get this done early next year

Every 20 cal rifle I've owned since 2005, in any cartridge configuration, has shot with amazing accuracy. Haven't found a 20 cal yet that wasn't inherently accurate with multiple load options producing Sub 1/2-1/4 MOA.

How many grains of RL 7 and what primer did you use?

Federal primer

As with any load data start 10% off and work up. That said

18.6 gr of RE7
