Maybe a year (February 2022) if we are lucky. The .22 shortage that began in 2013 did not end until 2018.

The optimistic part of me says maybe 2022 at some point. The pessimistic part of me says wow can you imagine I could’ve legally bought a brick of primers in 2021 for $300 and I didn’t do it I wish I would’ve. Depends on who gets their way.

Certain types of ammunition, 9mm Luger for example, are very difficult to find these days. And what IS available is often marked up 300-400% over 2019 prices. Demand has far exceeded supply. And the ammo shortage won’t end any time soon. Vista Outdoor’s CEO Metz added: “Despite us producing flat-out for six months, there is no buildup of inventory at any of our customers. In fact, every one of them would like significantly more. Simply put, consumer demand continues to outpace our ability to supply.”

If in 3 years it's not coming back, I will need to re-evaluate and probably pack everything I have left up for a rainy day.

My 2¢, It'll be here until after the midterm elections, fall of 2022 when and if people with common sense, will remove the girly men in congress. If that doesn't happen, we're in for another two years.

Sadly, I don't see a return to normalcy. This time around is much different than the other cycles. Big money got what they wanted and I don't know how to fight them to reverse policies being made now. As long as the media cheers on globalism, educational system lies about what made us great, the open house borders, and lawmakers who refuse to follow election laws there is no way it will reverse. I pray I am wrong, but every day deeper in this hole confirms it.
