That's My Boy!

JLT

This is what I have to work with . . .

Off topic, but I had to share this.

My wife and I home school our children and they've been taught to work with and help each other with their school work. Our youngest daughter, Anna (age 8), was prepping our youngest son, J.J. (age 5), for Kindergarten. It went something like this:

Anna: "J.J., let's say you have ten cupcakes. Someone forcibly takes two of them. Whatcha got left?"

J.J.: "Ten cupcakes and a dead body . . ."

Without so much as a pause to think about it. The John F. Kennedy Special Warfare School is in the boy's future.

THAT is hilarious! You go Dad!

Fellow homeschooler,

snert
Thanks, Snert. My wife and I laughed until we cried.

Home schooling is definitely the way to go for us. Moments like this are an affirmation - we're learnin' 'em good!

Another fellow homeschooler here. Mine are now 15 and 13, wouldn't trade our choice for anything.

Me neither! My son graduated, went on to a gap year, is gainfully employed and is saving to pay his way to college next year, already accepted. Daughter #1 has a 4.0+, just scored an incredible SAT, scored 5's on her AP tests, is in line for a full ride at college. Daughters 2 and 3 are 10th grade and are just super pleasant. One of them shoots a BR like a wild-woman and the other nurtures animals, plants, and broken hearts. And not one of them has failed to be "socialized'! Besides that, none are rebellious or slothful. So grateful we were able to teach them at home...even while both my wife and I worked full time. Ya, that was quite a trick!

Ok at some point home school = crazy,

case in point = I will kill a human being if he/she tries to take my cupcake.
I'm a fan of precision rifle stuff, crazy is not relevant.

Eric, don't you think a five year old's world just might be a bit narrow in scope compared to a sagacious adult, like yourself?o_O
Cupcakes now, First Amendment Rights later. Foundational attitudes start early with age appropriate parameters.
If you don't have the sand to stand up in your own sand box today, you'll be bowing in someone else's tomorrow.
And we have all seen our POTUS do that . . .

Hyperbole is not the sole possession of a five year old
