Thanks to 6MMBR and all it's Forum Menbers.

Over the winter I had my smith build me a .243 A.I. it was a combination of the old and the new. A thirty year old Benchrest stock and Wichita Action of the same vintage with a new Hart 9 twist fluted barrel and New Zeiss 6.5 X 20 Conquest in Burris Z-Rings. This project was inspired by Matt B., when I saw his beautiful Farley actioned Lilja on the guns of the week section. With much help from the .243 section and Forum members pet loads as a guide, I can say the project has been a joint success. The rifle will shoot in the low 3's to high 2's all day long with 90 Gr. bergers and 107 SMK's and when I catch some good conditions and actually use my wind flags, the results can be real exciting. Thanks alot fellows.

Wow. That's a story with a "happy ending" I'd say. Impressive target:

How do you like the Russian primers? Have you seen an improvement in ES/SD or accuracy?

Are you jamming or jumping the bullets?

What kind of velocities are you driving the 107s with that load?

Mod, yes I have been very happy with the russian primers. When I first started working up this load, I used Rem 9 1/2 primers and my Es ran from 50 to 60 fps. and my Sd was around 25. After switching too the russian primers and upping my charge 1 Gr. my Es dropped to an average of 29 fps while my SD'd dropped to 13. The load is giving me 3238 Avg. M.V.and the bullets are jumping .007 While little 100yard groups are neat to see, this gun was built for long range P.D.'s and what has me more excited is that it has shot several sub .6 groups at 300yds plus a couple of +inchers at 480 measured yards which is as far as I can shoot locally.

Wow! You've built a serious shooter.

And yes, this website is the best. Wait, let me re-phrase that: THE BEST!
