New York, I have a lifetime license, so hunt there, annually. Phone them for one of their free doe permits (DMP) back in August, was rejected.

Received one in the mail today. Seems the DEC didn't meet have enough applications to satisfy their quota, so randomly drew names, mine was on the list.

Off to buy this year's only lottery ticket, since we also had a partial eclipse out here. :

You mean ya gotta drive clear to NY for deer meat??? Why can't you pop one off the deck some evening or just get 1 already half ground the next time you go to Sturgis, Spearfish or Rapid?? That is called 'road hunting' also! lol
