Here they are. Congratulations to all the winners. Old guys can still kick ass.![]()
My only regret is that in the haste to pay off the award money, I didn’t take the radio from Ben and have the shooters give Ben Brooks, Glen Edgard and Don Diffey the recognition that they earned by working their asses off this weekend. They sacrificed their shooting so that others like me could have fun. They deserve all the credit and everyone gratitude for a terrific event.
I am also very grateful to all the shooters that participated for their camaraderie and good sportsmanship that make these events truly fun. I feel like we are truly brothers from different families united by our passion for shooting. There is no place I'd rater be than at the range with them.
You are right to give them a big thank you. There are times when it all comes together. Great scores mean great shooters, but also great pit service, great range, great support staff, great match director. They should all be acknowledged. I will have to put this match on my 2019 calendar, so I can at least say I shot at what may be one of the best matches out there.I would also like to add to this and send out a big thank you to the target pullers.
you Texans are a class act and the match was first rate in every way. I never did figure out your range, so will have to come back and try again next year![]()
Otis Riffey, Marksman class & 2nd place overall. Great job you super sandbagger!Congrats to Jason and Otis for taking top two spots in FTR and costing Don plenty in the Houston vs. San Antonio side bets.
Considering Jason is unclassified in I believe his third time ever at 1000 it makes Otis look like an old pro at sharpshooter.Otis Riffey, Marksman class & 2nd place overall. Great job you super sandbagger!![]()
