Just wondering if anyone has used the teslong bore scope with their chromebook and if so did they incounter any problems with this setup? Also what app did you have to use?Wanting to try one of these bore scope's, but only have access to chromeook or iphone. Was hoping the iphone version would come out but doessnt look like thats going to happen anytime soon...

It's entirely possible you will have to try one or more of the recommended "apps" for Chrome just like some have to do for an Android device. Some download the recommended one(s) and it all works fine, me, I had to download another/different app for my Android but works fine. Kinda like finding that good load for your rifle.

My Chromebook has a built in camera and it can be set to use an external camera as well. Plug & play.

Just looked sure enough my chromebook has the built in camera also.Never would have even noticed it if you hadnt said sumin about it in your post lol.No excuses now!!!May have to pm u if I cant figure it out if/when I get one.If you dont care....

I have used both the original and the rigid versions with Chromebooks using only the resident camera app as well. Plug in, open camera app and change the selection to the external camera. On both of mine it only involves clicking on the icon that appears on the lower left of the screen to select the laptop camera or the endoscope. Works great.

I knew I shouldn't have got on here this morning.Seems like I always find sumin else I have to have,oh well like to do my part keeping the economy going......

Ok should be here Tuesday.Figured worst case scenario chrome book wouldn’t support and would have to buy a new laptop lol.....Thanks again fellers I would hate to see my money mold in the ole billfold!!!!

Yep...nasty stuff. Have to get it out of there as fast as possible.

Ok got endoscope today and using this chrome book I had to download the app "webcam toy"to get it to work, also has to be on internet for this app to work .Can anyone tell me if I could use the camera app that came on this chrome book to use tesllong bore scope.Hoping I can get away from having to be on internet to use the telong because no service in main shop lol...
Thanks

I agree with jpx2rk. Plug the borescope into your Chromebook. Launch the camera. There should be an icon that allows you to switch back and forth from the internal camera to the external camera. No app or internet required.

We have a Chromebook in the the house. My wife did not think it would support the Teslong so I never bothered to even try it out. This thread made me want to test it out. It worked perfect right away. Now I don't have to drag guns up stairs to the office and balance them on the printer. Here is a few from a .22 airgun I just cleaned the bore on using the Chromebook......in the man cave.

bobm,
Glad it works for you.Sure beats trying to use pc thats not close to reloading room. Now if I can figure out how tobupload pics from this chromebook lol...

Very nice! I'd been wrestling with getting my Teslong to work with my phone (screen is a little smaller than I'd like) or my 10" tablet, as I have to pry off the cover on either of them to get the USB-A to USB-C adapter to work. I'd honestly never used the camera function on my Chromebook 2-in-1, so it took me a little bit to figure out where you were looking at things, but I got there eventually. *So* much nicer using the 13" screen, with the CB in 'tent' mode - very handy indeed!
