Tennessee ground hog advise

Want to start hunting ground hogs. I live in middle Tn. (Just west of nashville). Looking for advise to get me started, IE- is there a feeding time I should be out, morning, evening all day?
I have access to 2 or 3 different farms.
Thanks Bill

I've shot them in the early morning, in middle of the day, and right at dusk. My advice is go where there are beans or clover and set up on a point where you can see good and glass all day. If no beans walk along the field edges and find where they come into a field and mark the holes for quick scanning. The young dumb ones are out now. Take a cooler and some food and enjoy the day. Also, if a coyote comes along, kill it quick. There's a bunch in your area.

As a kid we would walk with 22lr's and learn the farms we were hunting. Knowing where holes are really helps with glassing especially once crops start to get high. I agree that asking g the farmers can save so leg work too. We killed alot and had great fun when we went on walkabout.

They are getting more and more plentiful. They went for a spell and not many around but seem to be making a comeback. If the state would let us kill coyotes when your supposed to (at night) I think there would be a lot more game animals around.
I agree sir. TN needs to get their head out of there ass.
