Took Fredo on a guided woodchuck safari today. The video should be up after the long weekend and Fredo gets back to the land of internet service. However, we think we got 12. Shortest was 60 yards and the longest right at about 510. Fredo did great with his 22-243AI and my 22PPC accounted for 4 at 490-510 yards, all just head showing shots. One was on a fencepost and swapped ends and started to leave as the trigger broke. Fredo thinks the video shows him taking a hit on the tail! Hard to see the screen on the Iphone in the sun, so we will wait for the final tally when all the video is in. I will encourage him to post misses too...cause yes, we missed.

Met up again today with Fredo for a short hunt, same place, 430 till 715 today. Despite eliminating 25 from this farm (all from same spot) this year, we still saw a couple, all in HIGH grass. Fredo had a time of it with some crazy vertical issue from prone that we never worked out, but finished the night with a fine 360 yard head shot with his 22-243AI off the McFadden tripod. Fredo said he would invite me to his farm to shoot some steel, so we are gonna be even!

Things shutting down here for a few weeks as the grass comes up and the frmers fail to understand that I need them to mow so I can shoot! ;)
 
Had the time of my life over the weekend w/snert!!! That yellow .22PPC is one bad little mamma-jamma! And I can't say enough good things about him and his fine family...

I was shooting fireforming loads in my .22-243AI, 75Amax runnin' a mild 3225fps. This one was 255yds, "snert shot"...

There was something goofy going on when shooting prone on snert's honey hole. Was consistently hitting .3-.4mil HIGH? I made double sure to run my dope out to 650 on both rifles before we met, and they were deadballz on the $$$. But, for some odd reason, kept sailing Amaxs over top?
I was convinced my high dollar PH on the GAP 7WSM had pooped the bed, but after shooting to confirm 100yds back @ my farm & running the turrets all over the map & shooting proven dope on steel out to 650, the scope was tracking 100%.
Two different days, cold bore ZERO @ 100yds...

Cat, using a PhoneSkope digiscoping adapter to pair my iPhone 5s up with my spotter. The adapters are size specific, according to brand/model, and slide right over the eyepiece.
Spotter is a Nikon ED60a w/ MCII (20-60x60)

Very nice images for a cell phone and adapter.
 
I have to take a minute and thank Fredo for his efforts putting out the video. He was such a gentleman and easy to shoot with. I appreciate Accurate Shooter for the quality of the folks you get to "meet" and sometimes actually meet!

P, it was MY pleasure!
Next time I'm up, we'll go on a steel safari over by me. As a bonus, just got permission to hang some steel on a farm where we could shoot to almost a mile! So, get some heavys loaded up for that .308... ;)
