Tc venture predator 204 rifle

Hi everyone does anyone else shoot this rifle? I have shot 32gr v max z max 35gr Berger 39gr bking. All shot great. I am thinking going to Berger 40gr on coyotes. I use 35gr Berger on coyotes and Bobcats. Would the 40gr make a difference? Any load data that mite help? I have been using RL10 and H4895. I love shooting this rifle so fun. It is a tack driver. Thanks

I DON'T HAVE A T/C VENTURE BUT I DO SHOT A 204 SOME COYOTE HUNTING AND THE 35GR BERGER DOES FINE FOR ME SHOT THEM OUT TO 300YDS WITH VARGET I'VE SHOT THE 30GR HP BERGERS ALSO AND THE SHOT VERY WELL ON PAPER NEVER SHOT ANY 40GR BULLETS

I have a 2 3/4 boxes Berger too try out. I have a bunch of 35gr Berger too load. I have a 6 boxes HSM 35gr Berger hp ammo and HSM 40gr Berger hp. Federal 32gr BT Remington 40gr accu tip ammo. That came with last 204 I bought. I will never shoot the factory stuff. Unless I want brass. I dont need the brass. The Remington acuu tips are same thing as a v max. I going to look for 30gr too load to shoot paper if I can find some. Would be good on crows. Ha I dont know if there would any difference from 35gr Berger to 40gr Berger on coyotes. The 40 gr would blow a bigger hole I would think.

Curious how the 40's work for you. IIRC the T/C's have a 12 twist. I have a T/C Precision Hunter in 204 that shoots the 39 grain BlitzKings really well. I'm curious as to how the 40 grain pills work.

I will let u know next week. The game and fish range just open back up. On top of the Berger 40gr it says 1@12 or faster twist. So yours should shoot them. I have a 1@10 twist. I may try RL10 H4895 tac and benchmark powders.

Now you have me wondering what the twist in my T/C really is. I tried checking it with a tight patch and a brush but the bore's so damn tight it binds my cleaning rod so it doesn't turn. Its the discontinued Precision Hunter model if anyone might know. T/C had some with a 12 twist and now the Venture with a 10.

It is a 1@12 I pulled the information up on it. They went from 1@12 to 1@10. The compass model has a 1@10 twist too. Your's should shoot the 40gr Berger. The 35gr Berger is a good coyote bullet. I ordered some speer 39gr tnt bullets to load. Will make a good armadillo bullet.

I shot some 40gr Berger. They shoot good out of it. Shot good enough too order another box of them.

I shoot the 35gr bergers with h4895. Works good so just left it alone. Not taken a coyote yet just prerrie dogs. Coyotes will be this fall to try on.

I used the 40 gr Nosler bt last winter, it performed great. Will be my 204r and 20p coyote fur saver bullet. Both my 20 cal have 10 twist barrels.

I went thru some of my bullets yesterday. I fount a 250ct pack of 40gr BT. Then I fount part of another box 40gr BT. But the part box was molly coated. Put them in a little cleaning stuff. Took the molly off but left a dull look. Coyotes or card board wont care. I dont know where the 40gr BT came from. The 35 and 40gr Berger shoot very good out of my gun. I have loads worked up for both. Fixing to start on a few Berger 30gr hp I came across. No longer made but will be fun too shoot. I have 2 full boxes take me a long time too shoot them up.

If your rifle shoots the 40 grainer's,less drop, less drift, flatter at distance, a 40 grain at 3850 fps is faster than a 32 at 4150 fps, past 250 yards, Varget,Win-748,IMR 8208,H-4895 are good w/ 40 grain bullets,at distance Can't beat the 40 v-max

My gun shoots 35 and 40gr Berger very good. I have a load worked up for both. I am working a load up for 30gr Berger for the fun of it. I have 4 boxes Rem 40gr accu tip aka v max. I have a big box of 40gr nosler bt too. I haven't shot any of them yet. I like the Berger the best. I did shoot 39gr bking and Tac. That load shot good too.

I liked the 40’s on coyotes just as well or better. Until I started shooting the BIB bullets the 40 Berger’s were my favorite coyote bullet. Rarely exit and dumps them right there just like the 35 does.

I have the following powders on hand. RL10, H4895, Tac, h322, varget, benchmark, h335. That's the powder that i have that will work in 204 ruger.

I had a can of 8208. I give it away. The 35gr Berger and H4895 is very accurate in my gun. As is 40gr Berger Tac. Going to shoot the RL10 up first. I have several pds of it. Plus I can buy it locally for 24.00 a pd.
