Tasco World Class Plus

Can anybody give me an idea if the Tasco World Class Plus scopes made in 1997 are worth using quality wise for rimfire benchrest only, found a 10-40x50 with target turrets and dot recticle for sale, guy wants 290 dollars, thanks

I woudlnt give the guy $50 for it. I had an 8-32x and it looked like I was looking though panty hose. Do yourself a favor and get a Leupold,Weaver or A Zeiss Conquest. Buy cheap and it will cost you. You can find a Weaver 36x for around $300 and a Conquest 6.5-20x50 for $650 new.

I have one he can for free just pay postage..$15.00 and please have him give it to someone he does not like.after he tries it out..

At one time I shot rimfire silhouette with a Tasco 6-20. First one would not focus, they sent me another and it would not hold POI. Some Tasco hunting scopes are OK, but buying one is still a crapshoot. I have heard there are some very good Tasco target scopes, but I would not take a chance on another. Buy the best and cry once.

I have to admit I use a Tasco all the time. Just today I did an oil change on my car and used it as a wheel chock!

I bought a Tasco 10-40 a few years back on eBay. It was cheap and I wanted to see how fast I could destroy it. After a few hundreds rounds on a Weatherby 30-378 and it still is in one piece. It got too expensive testing it on the cannon, so it had been sitting on a shelf since then. Tonight I mounted it on my new DPMS 243. I fired the 243 with a 6-18x scope to see what it would do, and I had a few groups go <1". So I know the rifle is capable, now to truly see what the Tasco can do. I even plan on shooting the pair in 2 local matches this month. I can just see the looks on some of their faces if I can actually pull off a win!

Sometimes cheap doesn't mean bad. I have an $80 BSA 36X fixed power, again eBay) that is mounted on a Rem 700 22-250. I shoot in the factory class Benchrest competition locally. Missed placing first by .0706" my first time shooting the match. Everyone else was shooting Leupolds or better.
