Tasco scope for my 527

i have a tasco 3x9x40 it was on my old 30-30 lever gun, which im going to sell,im wondering if this scope would do as a starter for my cz527 22 hornet, what rings would be needed?

Scope rings? Do i need different scope rings for my 527 ??? I dont know what you ment??
Yes you need new rings that fit both your CZ and the 1" scope . After installing , your CZ will need to be sighted in with your newly installed scope .

Edad, Just mounted a Sightron 4-12X40mm AO on a CZ 527 Varmint using the medium Burris rings which measure .500" from the top of the CZ dovetail to the bottom of the scope. Had plenty of clearance for the objective and ocular bells. A shorter ring like the Warne medium(.425 height) would have also provided adequate clearance for my scope.

PS: My comments above apply to current CZ 527 models. I do not know when the change was made, but CZ changed the profile of the CZ 527 bolt handles to improve scope clearance.

The ONLY Tasco scope I've ever looked through that didn't give me a headache was on older model made in Japan. Junk glass. Not to mention lousy, sloppy adjustments.

Your CZ deserves better optics.
