Tasco #709 24x40 with mounting rings

I have a Winchester 52- that I am installing a Tasco #709 24x40 barrel mount scope on. The vertical adjuster is stripped and does not move scope as it should, I think I see the problem, but would like some more info as to how it is assembled. Can some one shed more light on this?

Just seeing this in August. If it would be any help, I have a rear mount from the same scope that had a similar problem. The elevation adjusting cap came to me without the parts that hold it on and the detent for click generation. It has to be adjusted with a small tweaker screwdriver.

I have since replaced the mount (expensive!) so have no need of the original. I don't know if the windage & elevation knobs function identically, but if you want to try to use the parts from my carcass to repair yours, you are welcome to it. Send me a PM with contact info.
