Target Heights Down Range and Scope Settings

Happy 4th to everybody! A question that will no doubt show a basic lack of knowledge on my part. I`m old, so I really don`t care, LOL!
Scenario and question: I have two identical targets at 500 yards, side by side, but one is 6" higher than the other. My scope`s elevation setting is such that I am hitting the lower of the two targets. The question: If I shift to the higher target, should I expect that the elevation setting that was hitting the lower target will be the same for the higher target ? Thanks.

Aiming at the center of each target.
And where are your impacts on each target?
They should be at the same location on each target if you do your job.
Moving from the lower target to the higher target you will have to aim higher thus if your aim is good the bullet impacts should be in the same location for both targets.
